LCK T1 removes Polt from League head coach position, promotes Bengi to interim ahead of Worlds 2022
T1 has moved Choi “Polt” Seong-hun out of his position as the team’s head coach and promoted Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong to interim ahead of the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.
After a historic undefeated LCK Spring Split run, T1’s magic 안전놀이터 has struggled to remain intact following their loss 메이저토토사이트 to Royal Never Give Up at MSI 2022. Now, after their 0-3 loss to Gen.G in the LCK Summer Split final, the three-time World Champions have made a big change to their head coach position one month ahead of the biggest event of the year.
“As we begin preparations for Worlds, I want to take 토토사이트 this time to give you an important update regarding T1’s League of Legends team,” T1 CEO Joe Marsh wrote in the official announcement. “I have made the difficult decision to move Choi “Polt” Seong-hun out of his position as head coach.”
Polt initially joined the T1 organization as a general manager back in November 2020 before adding on more duties as the team’s head coach. Under his mantle, Polt helped lead T1 to a perfect 18-0 Spring Split before helping the team grab another Split title. Now, he will swap back to his old position as general manager, where he will work with all of T1’s League of Legends teams.
“I am thankful to Polt for everything he has done as he was able to shine light on a dark time during Summer 2021, and the team would not be where they are now without his efforts,” Marsh wrote.
In place of Polt, T1 has promoted coach and three-time World Champion Bengi as the interim head coach position as well as T1 rookies coach Kim “Sky” Ha-Neul to the main team ahead of Worlds 2022. This will be Bengi’s first stint as the main team’s head coach as well as his first head coach role since T1 Challengers throughout the 2021 LCK CL season.
“Once again, it was a tough call and I have spoken with the 메이저놀이터추천 players before coming to the final decision. And we are asking all T1 fans to show continued support and energy as our team comes together as 1 to win Worlds,” Marsh concluded in the announcement. “We will do everything we can to bring back the Worlds title.”
T1 enter Worlds 2022 as Korea’s second-seeded team, where they will look to contend for their fourth Worlds title.
Has Udyr lost his soul after his League of Legends VGU?
Riot Games recurrently reworks old champions that fail to keep up with the modern standards of League of Legends. Since older champions fall behind in the visual quality, quality of life, and gameplay when compared to later-released champions, full-scale updates are pivotal to keeping the game fresh and intriguing for everyone 메이저놀이터추천
First released in 2009, Udyr has had a 메이저안전놀이터 small and incredibly dedicated player base over the years with only a few relevant pro-play appearances that only resulted in champion nerfs, and Udyr falling further into oblivion. Besides, Udyr’s model and kit were markedly outdated, making it almost 안전놀이터추천 impossible to stay relevant in the current meta.
Since Udyr was lucky enough to win the 메이저사이트추천 2021 VGU poll, his VGU recently hit live servers with Patch 12.16. Although Udyr mains panicked that Udyr might lose his soul with the VGU update just like Aatrox did with his complete overhaul in 2018, Riot strived for preserving the core of Udyr’s gameplay with stance dance. After Riot finally revealed and launched Newdyr, Udyr mains were thrilled 메이저사이트 to learn that Udyr has stayed an almost identical champion with minor tweaks.
Oldyr vs. Newdyr
Since the release, Udyr’s identity has revolved around elaborate stance dance and his spirit animals—tiger, bear, turtle, and phoenix—unleashing their stunning powers to protect the natural order in the Freljord. Before the VGU update, Udyr was an early-game power-farmer and ganker difficult to catch, let alone punish. Thanks to his early-game power, he would normally close out games in the mid game. On top of that, Udyr had been a skirmisher/tank champion blindly charging into mispositioned AD carries and squishy champions.
Since his VGU update, Udyr again wields the spirit animals—tiger, turtle, ram, and phoenix—to carry out nature’s will. Although Udyr’s lore was modernized, the theme, characters, and plot of Udyr’s story remain almost intact. Even after the VGU update, Udyr is a strong early-game farmer and a ganker who now slightly struggles to reach the backline. Udyr’s playstyle still favors skirmisher/tank builds that allow him to stay in the eye of a battle while outputting steady damage.
Has Udyr lost his soul after his VGU?
The deepest fear of almost any main expecting the VGU of their favorite champion is a complete overhaul that leaves a champion in such an unrecognizable state that relearning the champion is a must. Udyr mains, naturally, weren’t spared of this trouble as they waited to finally see the reveal of Newdyr.
Thankfully, Udyr’s VGU heavily focused on reviving the Spirit Walker theme and improving the already unique champion kit. The only major change Udyr has seen, besides the visual update and the minor tweaks to Phoenix and now Ram Stance, is the Awaken passive which pushes the champion from a bland statcheck into a slightly more complex champion demanding a level of understanding and skill. Other than that, Udyr’s core gameplay has stayed virtually unchanged with farming and gank-oriented early game, almost intact lore, and tank/skirmisher playstyle.
Although this thrilled the devoted Udyr mains who didn’t want to see a complete champion overhaul, the fact that Riot might continue the practice of seemingly low-effort VGU updates is alarming largely because these VGU updates are lengthy and take up a lot of time. Hopefully, Riot will get back on track and release Mordekaiser-like updates that give a champion a fresh look and gameplay while emphasizing the champion’s theme.
Tenacity in League of Legends: What is it and how does it work?
There’s no shortage of crowd-control abilities in League of Legends. They can be particularly effective and disruptive later in the game or at crucial junctions. A well-timed stun or suppression can completely turn the tide of a team fight.
There are a handful of ways for players to increase the effects of their crowd control abilities through items, abilities, or runes. But there is also a way for opposing players to resist and reduce the effects of crowd control on themselves via a statistic called tenacity 메이저사이트추천
But how does tenacity work, and will it work against all forms of crowd control? Knowing the answer could be the key to beating compositions heavily reliant on crowd control.
What is Tenacity in League?
Tenacity is a statistic also known as crowd control reduction. Tenacity will reduce the duration of all incoming crowd control effects, except for status effects like airborne, drowsy, nearsight, stasis, and suppression. The tenacity statistic will reduce the duration of CC effects like stun, silence, slow, cripple, and others.
How do you increase Tenacity in League?
Tenacity can primarily be improved via items and elixirs. Mercury’s Treads, Silvermere Dawn, and Sunfire Aegis are all items with effects that improve tenacity. Ornn’s craftable version of Sunfire Aegis, known as Forgefire Crest, also improves tenacity.
Players can also consume the Elixir of Iron to improve tenacity by 25 percent while the elixir’s effects are active. Tenacity can also be improved by the Legend: Tenacity rune in the Precision tree and the Unflinching rune in the Resolve tree.
Garen’s active Courage ability also temporarily improves tenacity.
How do you decrease the opponent’s tenacity 메이저사이트 in League?
There are a couple of ways you can reduce the tenacity statistic of your opponents, preventing them from resisting your own CC abilities. Tenacity can even be reduced to a negative number, causing CC effects to last longer.
Players can purchase Anathema’s Chains during 메이저놀이터 the game, which curses the opponent and stacks the player with Vendetta. Upon acquiring maximum stacks of Vendetta, the cursed opponent marked as your nemesis will suffer a 20 percent tenacity reduction if they’re within 700 units of you.
The only champion that can affect the opponent’s tenacity is Ornn. His Bellows Breath and Call of the Forge God abilities apply the Brittle debuff to opponents, which reduces tenacity by 30 percent.
The Rift Scuttler monster also has -100 percent tenacity, making CC effects twice as effective on it.
DRX’s Lee “Juhan” Ju-han helped his team 메이저사이트 reach the 2022 League of Legends World Championship after a run through the LCK Regional Finals on Saturday, and he’s already lined up an opponent he’d like to face at the international event later this year.
The jungler for DRX said he would love to face off against G2 Esports for another time this year. “I do want to play G2 again, because I think Jankos is a great player,” he said in an interview with Inven Global.
Juhan has been a professional player since 2019, but he last faced Europe’s G2 earlier this year at MSI 2022 when he was playing under PSG Talon’s banner. At that event, he helped his squad secure two victories againstG2. Worlds 2022, though, will be his first World Championship event.
The 21-year-old, despite barely qualifying for Worlds 2021, feels somewhat prepared for the competition in North America. “Maybe it’s because I played at MSI, but I can kind of predict how well the other regions play,” Juhan said.
After being picked up by DRX on July 5, Juhan 토토사이트 has only taken part in two series in the 2022 LCK Summer Split regular season. But he came in clutch in the Regional Finals after he was subbed in versus KT Rolster and Liiv SANDBOX. The victory against the latter allowed DRX to secure the fourth and final spot for the LCK at Worlds 2022.
The World Championship will begin on Sept. 29 with the Play-In stage, which takes place in Mexico City.
