JSI Meet Schedule -- Mark Your Calendars!
All Things Volunteer -- Look Here!
All CGA Team gymnast families are asked to:
- Help with Set-up
- Sign up for at least two (2) volunteer shifts during the meet
- Help with Tear-down
Our goal is to communicate volunteer assignments the week of Dec. 1. In order to do that, we need to know when you are available to help out during the meet.
**Please let us know your availability by filling out and submitting the Volunteer Availability Form below by THIS Friday, November 21.
Some Important Things to Know
- Families will not be scheduled during their gymnast's competition time, unless it is specifically requested.
- The volunteer shift lengths vary based on the number of gymnasts competing in each session.
- If you are able to volunteer more than 2 shifts, we could definitely use the extra help!
Set-up on Friday will begin at 9:00A. Due to the number of competitors, there will be two girls' sessions held on Friday evening. We must have the gym ready for competition by 4:00P. If a representative from your family is able to help anytime between 9:00A and 4:00P to help set up the gym, please come whenever you can for as long as you can! Even after 4:00P, volunteers will be needed to prepare rooms for awards and hospitality.
Tear-down on Sunday, December 14 will begin following the completion of the final session around 9:00P. Tear-down is just as important as set-up! Please send a representative from your family to help with tear-down and make sure we leave Huff Hall in great shape.
Volunteer PositionsBooster Club Table: Sell programs, distribute JSI T-Shirts to gymnasts, sell "shout outs" for gymnasts, volunteer check-in.
Score Data Entry: Sit with a judge during the competition and enter scores into a keypad after each routine. We are using an electronic scoring system this year that will display the scores on monitors in the gym.
Floor Monitors/ Greeters: Warmly welcome people as they enter the building & provide general directions and answer questions; keep non-credentialed people off of the competition floor.

Program & Happy Ads -- Don't Forget!
Business Ads -- Help us reach more businesses to place ads in the JSI program. Have a family member, neighbor, or friend who owns a business? Encourage them to participate! All ad purchases are treated as donations to a charitable 501(c)(3) organization. Ad sales booklets explaining the different ad packages as well as pricing are available at the CGA Front Desk.
Happy Ads -- Parents and grandparents have an opportunity to cheer on their gymnasts by purchasing personalized Happy Ads for the JSI Program. These ads are reasonably priced at $25.00 each. Happy Ad forms are available at the CGA Front Desk.
All proceeds raised by the ad sales will help to defer the program production costs.
DEADLINE: Tuesday, December 2, 2014.
