Inclusive Schools Week provides an opportunity for educators, students, and parents to discuss and initiate practices to further ensure schools continue to improve their goal of successfully educating ALL children. Counseling/Registrar Information
It is that time of year when students start applying for private school for the next school year. Please review the AMMS procedure for these and other information requests.
Requests for Student-Related Paperwork and Information

To better assist in the completion and return of student recommendations and evaluations, please use the following procedure when asking teachers or staff members to complete paperwork related to private schools and medical evaluations, etc. Please bring paperwork to the Counseling Office. Include student name, grade level, and a list of people to provide information.
1. The counseling office will distribute/collect the paperwork to/from the appropriate teachers. We will also provide any additional information that may be requested, i.e., test scores, transcripts, discipline records, etc.
2. Paperwork will be sent directly to the person, group, or school for whom the information is requested. It will not be returned to the student/parent/guardian.
3. Please allow at least five business days for all student recommendations and evaluations to be completed.
4. There is a $5.00 per school fee for private school applications.

Parent Reminder
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a reminder, No LUNCHES, desserts, baked goods (store bought/homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by school administration. Per our Student Code of Conduct, students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for violation 7A: Failure to Follow Rules and all candy or food items will be confiscated. Please discuss this expectation and possible consequences with your student(s) as this will be taken very seriously. This is due to recent national and state reports about students sharing edible items and synthetic medications with other students that contain very harmful substances.
Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students. You can help us protect your student(s) by requestion that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
· No Sharing of lunches or bringing lunches for other students.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all our students safe at school!

Parent's Responsibility When a Child is Absent
- Parents should notify the school before or after the absence(s)
- Notes should be directed to attendance owner at the school
- Handwritten note or email

This includes excused absences that are approved in advance.
- Errors can occur and if you feel you received a phone call by mistake, contact your school front office to verify that your student’s attendance record is accurate.

If your child is sick, please keep them home. Families are still required to report a confirmed positive case of COVID-19, a pending COVID-19 test result (regardless of the reason for testing), and a direct contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive.
