A Message From Principal Smith
Dear Riverwood Families,
I hope that you had a meaningful, restful Thanksgiving break. Now that we are back from break, we are officially in the home stretch.
On Monday, December 12 our students will begin their first semester final exams. This can be a stressful time, especially for those taking finals for the first time. Please review the finals schedule with your student today (it is included below). This is an opportunity to help your student plan ahead and budget their time properly (including some time for having fun and getting enough rest).
Next week, our music department will help us get in the holiday spirit with its winter concerts. Orchestra is on Tuesday, December 6; Chorus on Wednesday, December 7; and Band is on Thursday, December 6. These concerts are in the auditorium and admission is free. Please visit our home page for concert details and times.
As a reminder, Tuesday, December 6, will be a remote learning day due to the statewide runoff election. Students are expected to work on assignments asynchronously throughout the day. Teachers will be available digitally if students are in need of assistance. Let's finish strong, Raider families! Wishing you and your loved ones a Holiday season that is happy, merry, and bright.
