A heartfelt thank you to Mindy Affronti for chairing our Valentine's cupcake fundraiser! Thank you also to all those who purchased cupcakes.

If your child wishes to participate in the cupcake decorating contest, please email a picture of your cupcake along with NAME/GRADE/EMAIL ADDRESS of your student to OASCUPCAKECONTEST@GMAIL.COM by 2/18.

If you do not include this information, we will not be able to include your cupcake in the contest. Winners will be announced the following week. There will be one 1st place winner from OAS and a runner up from each grade.

With the help of your membership, the PTA is able to fund activities & events throughout the year for our students. Most recently we were able to purchase indoor recess kits for our Elementary Students as well as the Rutgers Science Bus for our Middle School students, which arrives later this month!

Please consider joining today so we can continue to improve the students experience at OAS!

It's been 2 years in the making, but Club Cranford is finally happening! See information below on how to purchase tickets!

OAS is participating in Box Tops for Education, which means that you can earn cash with the products you already buy to help our school get the supplies it needs. Our goal is to earn $1000 through Box Tops this year!

If you shop at Shoprite, earning money for shopping is even easier through ShopRite for My School. Go to and just link your Price Plus Card to Shoprite for My School and select Orange Avenue School. Bonus Box Tops earnings will be automatically credited to your selected school’s account. You can still scan your receipt for additional box tops.

Here’s another way you can help:
1. Download the Box Tops app on your phone and follow instructions on how to set up an account and sign up to support our school.
2. Then, just shop as you normally would.
3. Use the app to snap a photo of your receipt within 14 days of purchase. It’ll automatically identify any Box Tops participating products and you’ll give back to our school with each product you buy.

If you shop online, you can earn with your digital or email receipt, too. See how to submit those receipts at

Please contact Amanda Cowell ( with any questions or if you need assistance downloading the app, scanning receipts or linking your price plus card.

A new SignUpGenius will be sent out in late March. If you already set up an e-wallet for the Book Fair, you can use the money at the Book Fair in April. For anyone who has not set up an e-wallet yet, there is no need to do so until April. A reminder will be sent at that time.

Art Night will be rescheduled for a later date – more information to follow.
