Message from Mrs. Fassbender
Staff have been working on planning a variety of field trips and other fun activities to end the year. With that being said, we also want to make sure to continue the regular routines and structures to support our students.
We hope that you and your family will be able to join us for grade level events such as the 4K Picnic and grade level concerts. Dates are attached below.
Thank you families for another amazing school year! Your support for staff is appreciated!

Message from Lodi Food Service Program
Happy spring students and families! Wow the year has flown by! As we wind down to the last day I just have a few updates:
- We started serving breakfast upstairs and downstairs so every student has a chance to eat breakfast. The response has been terrific and we hope to continue to do this next year also. It is our privilege to feed the students so they can begin their day fully alert and ready to learn. We appreciate the support.
- We have also gone back to allowing the students to have seconds of hot lunch if they are still hungry. So if you see an extra charge for $1.85 that is for second entrée. If you have questions about charges please call and we can help. An extra milk is $ .40 cents.
- We also have lots of new fruit coming into availability this month. Our featured fruit of the month is blueberries, our featured herb is lavender, and vegetable is ramps-spring onions. We will be offering all at some point this month. We also have strawberries and watermelons coming in.
- A couple times a month we offer a whole grain cookie or low fat ice cream for the students who buy lunch. Please make sure to sign your child up for lunch that day if you want them to get the dessert offered. If you look on the lunch menu you will see which days they are on. This month the cookie is on Tuesday, May 16 and ice cream is on the Friday, May 26.
As always we truly appreciate the opportunity to provide foodservice to everyone at Primary!

Heritage Park Update - Stride With Lodi Pride Funds
We wanted to share the plan from Timothy Ripp (Graphite To Green. LLC) of what we will be using our school earning from last year's Stride with Lodi Pride. Currently we are waiting to get our bids and then we will start! We apologize again to the families for the slight pause on this project but are very excited about the long term impact this will have on Heritage Park for students to come!
Message from Mrs. Winter
Summertime is a great time to plan your child’s wellness check-ups and immunizations. Plan ahead and arrange to have both your check-up and your child’s wellness check-ups with your healthcare provider this summer. Healthy parents and healthy kids= healthy families.
Are your children’s vaccines up to date? It’s easy to find out. Or look up the records yourself on the Wisconsin Immunization Registry
- School-Age Student-Vaccine Requirements
- Tips for how to be there for your child for vaccines
- CDC: Vaccines for your children by age
- American Academy of Pediatrics FAQ about vaccines
Mark your calendars for the end-of-the-year medication pick-up:
- Please feel free to stop by the Primary School office between 7:30-4:00 pm during the week of June 5 - June 9 to pick student's medications if you have some that you dropped off during this school year. All medications (except emergency medications) will need to be picked up by an adult from the Primary School by the end of the school year. The medications that are not picked up will be disposed of on June 12.
Any emergency medication (glucagon, bisqsimi, inhalers, epipens) will be kept for the summer school program or in the building unless you request them to be returned to you. These medications are renewed on an annual basis rather than by the school year.
Have a great end of the school year!

Message from Ms. Good
We have read more nonfiction books and learned about additional nonfiction features, like captions, diagrams, and fun facts.
We have heard some more poems, in celebration of April being poetry month.
We made decorations for the library; bugs, turtles, or fish.
We have seen that there are many interesting nonfiction books on EPIC!
We did our next Digital Citizenship lesson, learning about how to be safe online when visiting websites or apps.
We talked about Earth Day and read some books on that theme.
Please remind kids to use their plastic bags for library books and continue to keep them away from water bottles, food, and drinks, especially in backpacks.
All library books will be due by May 19th. :)
Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions at goodamy@lodischoolswi.org.
Happy reading,
Ms. Good
For the Love of Reading - Summer Reading Program
We are excited to offer “For the Love of Reading” to our students this summer! This is a free, individualized summer reading program for students who are currently in grades 4K-5, to build a love of reading and the routine of reading 20 minutes every day. We know that kids who read over the summer can maintain and even improve their reading skills. This program will give children access to “just right” books for reading and provide incentives along the way. We will encourage kids to read and be read to in order to reach the goal of reading 900 minutes this summer. Our book pick up times will be on Wednesdays from 11:00-12:30 or 4:00-6:00.The sign up is open until May 8. Here is the link. We hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity!
Students that participate will be celebrated at our back to school assembly and earn a free t-shirt. They will also earn a free book at our fall Scholastic Book Fair.
“There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world. Love of books is the best of all.”
