Barre Blast

12.2.15

Greetings from RLS!

I hope this message finds you well rested after a blessed Thanksgiving long weekend. It was fun to see the kids on Monday and to hear all of their stories of feasts, family, friends and fun!

Since our last Barre Blast, we had a very productive School Advisory Council meeting. The Council came together with a packed agenda! Thank you to Council member Mike Leander for volunteering to be my Co-Chair as well as to Ashley Cranston for stepping forward to be our Secretary.

The majority of our meeting focused on discussing our initiatives for the school year. We spent time reviewing our conversation from the spring when we summarized the survey results. Based on that data we decided that the Council would focus its efforts this year on two projects: creating a community garden and exploring after school opportunities for clubs and activities. Please click here for a flyer regarding the community garden - volunteers are needed - with or without green thumbs ;)

After our December meeting on the 16th, once they are reviewed, the minutes for the meeting will be posted on our website. If you have any compliments, offerings, questions or comments you would like discussed during Open Forum of our December meeting, please feel free to reach out to any member of the Council. Click here to be directed to our webpage where you will find their contact information.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns or something to share, please do not hesitate to give me a call, send an email or stop by!

Regards,

Julie

The PTO would greatly appreciate any and all donations of Box Tops. This is a quick and easy way for your family to raise money for all of the amazing activities the PTO offers to our students. Bundles of 50 in a ziploc bag would be appreciated. Thank you for your support!
