College, Career, and Military Readiness

What is CCMR?

College, Career, and Military Readiness strives to expand learning, opportunity, and preparation towards a student's more successful post-high school experience.

College Ready

Are you headed to college?

Many students plan to attend college after high school and we want to help make sure they are as prepared as than can be. There are several ways a student can be considered college-ready for the state of Texas.
Big picture

On Ramps Course

A student can be considered college-ready upon the successful completion of an OnRamps course. This is a dual-enrollment course through UT-Austin. We are looking at implementing some of these courses for the 2020-2021 school year.

Other (less common) ways to be college ready:

Career Ready

What is Career Ready?

We understand that not all students are college bound. Therefore, we strive to offer Industry-based certifications that will allow our students to have a jump start in a career field. Below are a sample of some of the certifications that are available at LHS.

Military Ready

What is military ready?

Students that are planning to join the armed forces can complete our military intent form and turn it into their counselor. We have an excellent relationship with local recruiters and can help get you connected with the military branch of your choice.
