Recognizing Positive Behavior - The Power of Attention means "What we focus on we get more of"

Cadott Elementary Staff recognizes the importance to applaud students when they display positive character traits. This week we would like to recognize:

Kayden H. - Mr. Holtz recognized Kayden H. for positive behavior. Kayden leads by example in and out of the classroom. He has been making great choices and encourages his peers to make positive choices also.

Brianna H. - Mrs. Balko recognized Brianna H. for positive behavior. Brianna is always cheerful and helpful. She strives to do her best and treat others kindly.

Nolan R. - Mrs. Mathison recognized Nolan Ramp for positive behavior. Nolan has been a very kind friend and often asks other children to play with him at recess.

Bradley K. - Mrs. Grossinger recognized Bradley Kreuser for positive behavior. Bradley showed great humility and helpfulness to his partner in music class.

Chase G. - Mrs. Goettl recognized Chace G. for positive behavior. Chace demonstrated strong relationship skills, goal directed behavior, personal responsibility, and decision making as he supported another student in band.

Awesome job choosing kind behavior and going above and beyond.

-Terri Goettl and Josh Spaeth

Positive Character Traits we are looking for are:

Self-Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Goal Directed Behavior, Personal Responsibility, Decision Making, and Optimistic Thinking.

These traits are learned and nurtured through our adult modeling, direct instruction, and feedback.

Guest Speaker Bill Jamerson Visited with our 2nd - 6th graders

Bill Jamerson knows a good story when he hears one. For over a decade, the Escanaba, Michigan based historian and songwriter has been sharing stories about America's past with his History through Song programs and school assemblies in a 12-state region across the Upper Midwest. He developed a love of history at an early age inspired by his grandfather's stories abo

Cross Country

On Thursday, Sept 12th, at the 10 team Stanley-Boyd cross country invite weather play a big part in the disappointment many six grade runners experienced. The 2 high school varsity teams completed their race before mother nature decided to dish out the disappointment. The middle school race started but half way through the race thunder & lightning became a part of the decision to suspend the race. Iszy Sonnentag was leading the charge for the Cadott girl's team and would have place first among all girls. She along with the majority of runners weren't allowed to finish race with only 200 meters remaining in her 1.75 mile race.
