How does the type of circuit affect a strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
Iv: Circuit type DV: burned out bulb
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit when 1 bulb bursts the other bulbs don't light up.
When one bulb is removed, the other ones light up. It is brighter than a series circuit.
When one is removed the others stay on.
Dimmer than a parallel circuit.
With one bulb gone no bulbs light up.
A parallel circuit is the best series to use for Christmas lights because when one burns out the others stay lit. Also because a parallel circuit is brighter. That is why a parallel circuit is better for Christmas lights.
