Free Food Benefits for Children from Baltimore County Public Schools
Summer SNAP for Children will provide $30 monthly per eligible child in June, July and August. Each child will also receive $10 over winter break in December.
Families already enrolled in SNAP, also known as food stamps, don’t need to do anything to receive the summer benefits, officials said. The money is set to be automatically credited to families’ benefit cards for each child age 7-18.
Baltimore County families not currently receiving SNAP who believe they may be eligible can apply online (mymdthink.maryland.gov/home), or visit the Baltimore County Department of Social Services

Ms. Jen Evert-Brown, the school counselor at Cockeysville Middle School came by to visit with our CMS zoned students during lunch on Friday, June 3rd. She was able to answer any questions they might have and make a meaningful connection moving forward into their middle school transition. Cockeysville MS has also posted the presentations shared at their Open House on May 26th (in both Spanish and English) on their website. A video of the evening’s presentation should be posted soon.
Ridgely Middle School
Ridgely Middle ELA teachers and Mrs. Cook, the Library Media Specialist, have compiled a list of books that we think you may enjoy reading. These are just suggestions which are in the 5-8 grade range; you may read any age/grade appropriate books of your choosing to complete the BINGO activities. See PDFs below for additional information.
