Jon Bergmann is one of the pioneers of the Flipped Class Movement. Jon is leading the worldwide adoption of flipped learning by working with governments, schools, corporations, and education non-profits. Jon is coordinating or guiding flipped learning initiatives around the globe.

Craig Middle School Supply List for 2017-2018


This is a general list of items for CMS students, no matter what team they will be on for the upcoming school year. If there are any specific items for each class, students will be notified during the first week of school.

6th Grade

All 6th grade students need the following materials; individual teachers may require additional supplies and you will be notified of requirements during the first week of school. Items marked with an asterisk (*) will be collected by your student’s focus teacher the first day of school.

  • *Set of colored pencils (8)
  • *Scissors
  • *One ruler (with centimeters and inches)
  • Two (2) packages of #2, 20-count pencils with erasers (replenish as needed)
  • Four (4) single subject notebooks
  • Three (3) two-pocket folders
  • Earbuds
  • Fine-tipped stylus
  • *Two (2) packages of college-ruled notebook paper
  • *One (1) package EXPO markers
  • *Five (5) glue sticks
  • *Five (5) highlighters (1 of each orange, yellow, pink, green, and blue)
  • *Three (3) boxes of Kleenex
  • *Clorox wipes
  • *One roll of paper towels (science)
  • Organizational Folder (recommended/optional -- Trapper Keeper, accordion file, etc.)
  • *One Journal

7th Grade- All 7th grade students need the following materials; individual teachers may require additional supplies and you will be notified of requirements during the first week of school.

  • 1 box of pencils (replenish as needed)
  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • 1 roll scotch tape
  • A pocket folder with three holes for each class
  • Minimum of 2 3-ring binders
  • 2 boxes of kleenex (for focus teacher)
  • Ruler (with centimeters and inches)
  • Earbuds
  • Fine-tipped stylus
  • *One Journal

8th Grade - All 8th grade students need the following materials; individual teachers may require additional supplies and you will be notified of requirements during the first week of school.

  • 2- Three Ring Binders (Math, and Language Arts)
  • 2 Pocket Folders
  • 2 Sets of Dividers
  • Organizational unit (trapper keeper, accordion folder,)
  • College Ruled loose leaf paper
  • Graph Paper
  • Pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Pens (Red, Blue, Black)
  • Scientific calculator (TI-30XIIS)
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

  • Box of Kleenex/tissues (donate to focus class)

Electives

Physical Education:

  • Tennis shoes: clean & non marking soles
  • Dark colored shorts/sweats that meet the CMS dress code (no spandex or tight leggings)
  • Physical Education uniform top (purchase at the the school)

Leadership:

Band:

  • 6TH GRADE
  • $8.00 band book.
  • There is $5 per year band activity fee.
  • $10 app fee (forScore) contingent on the the possession of iPads by 6th graders
  • If 6th grade does not have iPads each student will need a white, 3 ring, binder with a hard cover.
  • Students/families are required to rent an instrument from a regional music store or purchase an instrument. Instruments will be decided in August at a series of trial nights. More information is forthcoming.
  • Students/families are responsible for accessories associated with the instrument that will be chosen.
  • Rentals run anywhere from $25 to $50 per month depending on the provider and the instrument. The district has a few background instrument available that will rent for $20 a month.
  • Please do not acquire and instrument until the trials are complete and the recommendations given.
  • The $18 materials fee for band is due by the Thursday, September 1, 2016
  • The performance uniform is black slacks, dark shoes and a dark blue polo shirt.
  • 7TH GRADE
  • Concert Time for Beginning Band (the concert book that we used in 6th grade). If you lost or ruined your book, you will have to replace it before school starts. No book - No band. I will not be ordering these for 7th grade band.
  • There is $5 per year band activity fee.
  • $10.00 Band Book for First Performance Plus is due by September 1, 2016
  • Students/families are required to rent an instrument from a regional music store or purchase an instrument.
  • The district has a few background instrument available that will rent for $20 a month. This rental fee covers annual, routine maintenance only. Major repairs are the responsibility of the family.
  • Students are responsible to purchase reeds, oil, grease, mouthpieces, neck-straps, cleaning kits and mallets associated with their instruments.
  • Students wishing to experiment with another instrument must not assume that it is a done deal until the director and family have an opportunity to work it out.
  • The performance uniform is black slacks, dark shoes and a dark blue polo shirt.
  • 8TH GRADE

Blue Pass Building Rules

  • The office will not call any student to the office until the parent, guardian, or emergency contact is in the office. We do this to ensure every child is receiving the most class time as possible.
  • To take a student out of the building on a blue pass, you must have your ID with you.
  • The only people allowed to take a student on a blue pass are the ones listed on infinite campus. NO EXCEPTIONS
  • If a student goes home ill with out the nurses approval, the absence will be unexcused.
