Catholic Schools Week 2019
Service Project
Our Service Project for Catholic Schools Week (CSW) this year will focus on providing support to pediatric cancer patients. The students will participate in a "Penny War" where the grade levels will compete to raise money for a Dance Marathon benefiting Riley's Children's Hospital.
Students can donate money to their teachers' jar in the cafeteria throughout the week.
Monday, January 28 ~ "Celebrating Your Community"
- Attire: Career Day - Future career aspirations
- Monday Gathering
- Community Members will be presenting to each grade level
- Surprise handed out to parents at carpool!
- Penny War for Riley's Hospital for Children Dance Marathon begins!
Tuesday, January 29 ~ "Celebrating Your Students"
- Attire: Dress as your favorite animal
- Mass at 8:15am hosted by the Teachers
- Jungle John joins us in the gym! (K - 5 Grades)
- Surprise to students from teachers!
- Penny War for Riley's Hospital for Children Dance Marathon continues!
Wednesday, January 30 ~ "Celebrating The Nation"
- Attire: Time to pull out your “Greatest Showman” gear aka Circus Theme. 8th grade may wear spirit wear for Staff vs 8th Grade Volleyball Game
- Students writing letters to Veterans
- Student Council attending Mass with Archbishop
- Cincinnati Circus performs in the gym!
- 8th Grade vs Staff Volleyball Game
- Penny War for Riley's Hospital for Children Dance Marathon continues!
- Spell Bowl at Bishop Chatard High School
Thursday, January 31st ~ "Celebrating Vocations"
- Attire: Dress to Impress
- Mass at 8:15am hosted by Sisters
- 5th Grade Vocations Mass at St. Joan of Arc
- K-9 Crew presenting in Gym (6 - 8 Grades)
- Students writing letters to priests, sisters and seminarians
- Penny War for Riley's Hospital for Children Dance Marathon continues!
Friday, February 1 ~ "Celebrating Faculty & Staff"
- Attire: Pillar Day - Dress as the color you represent demonstrating how you are @stlukestrong (Red - Empathy, Green - Integrity, Pink - Faith, Orange - Commitment, Blue - Enthusiasm)
- Dance Marathon Day!
- Benediction 2:40pm
- Teachers and staff will be provided a soup lunch!
- LAST DAY for the Penny War for Riley's Hospital for Children Dance Marathon continues!
Sunday, February 3rd ~ "Celebrating Your Parish"
- Attire: Church Attire
- Students will be hosting the 9:30 mass
- Students are encouraged to make extra efforts to attend mass this weekend.
