2016 Summer Reading
Go for the GOLD!
Central School Summer Reading!!
The district’s GO FOR THE GOLD list along with Suggested Response Activities can be found on Mrs. Miller’s e-board, JLMiller.haddonfield.site.eboard.com! Click on the SUMMER READING tab!! The list contains suggestions only; there are no mandatory titles for students exiting first through fourth grade. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of printed materials including books, magazines, manuals, journals, newspapers, brochures, pamphlets, maps, advertisements, and catalogs.
The Go for the GOLD contains the summer’s reading goal for each grade level along with a place to record dates, titles, and time spent reading.
- At the end of the summer, record the total number of hours spent reading.
- In September, have your child return the log to his/her teacher.
- Every child who returns the form and meets the grade level goal will receive something special in September!
