Our high flying visitor on Thursday Morning
One of our father's helped us out by capturing views of this red tail hawk perched on one of the light standards. The children were amazed at how still it was and how large it was. There is always something interesting to see at the Primary School.
Pretty good view up here.
"Now where did those mice go?"
"What a terrific group of kids down there, glad I stopped."
It was a Big Big Day-#100
The day was full of 100's in our 5K classrooms. There were events and activities all day and the kids were up for each and every one of them. Thanks to our parents for their participation with the awesome t-shirts. Way to go!
We love our shirts!
Doing a little stacking with our 100 cups
Now we're really talking about cups!
Guest speaker and volunteer
Our neighbor from the church across the way, shared her Olympic experience with Mrs. Krogmann's class this past week, after she was done doing some wonderful work as a library volunteer. She had terrific stories and memorabilia from the Lake Placid Olympics. Many thanks!
Channel 12 Weather comes to Merton Primary
Our third graders were presented with a real meteorologist when Lindsey visited our school. She was a wealth of information as our students learned from a real professional weather prognosticator. Thanks grade three teachers for bringing in this terrific resource to bring relevance to the study of weather in our state.
Pretty exciting topic in our area
So today we will talk about. . . . .
A captive audience for our guest
Mike Budisch
Nothing like a fantastic day outside on a new snow pile with the students who were burrowing, building, sliding, and tumbling. Here we are adjusting mittens so that nasty cold snow doesn't go down the sleeve. The kids were awesome and did a super job in the snow.
