President's Update
Happy Monday!
Thank you to the many families who were able to join us last Tuesday night for Math Night! The kids had a blast rotating through the stations playing games while at the same time using the the math skills they have been learning at school.
A very special thank you to Dave Wurzburger, this year's Math Night Chair, and Derek PipKorn from Mathnasium of Wauwatosa for putting together a truly fantastic event. Thank you also to our McKinley teachers for providing math games from their classrooms to incorporate in the event.
Have a great week!

Celebrate 7 years of Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 9th!!
The Safe Routes to School Committee is looking for your help in making year 7 extra special. As in the past, we will have:
- Bike helmets and helmet fitting checks before and after school (Suggested $10 donation for helmet to McKinley PTO).
- Bike Safety Checks
- City of Wauwatosa Bike Registration before and after school- Wauwatosa Police Department. Bring all your bikes to be registered. Registered bikes are easier to recover if lost or stolen.

Would you be interested in leading a Bike Train to school? What is a “Bike Train?” A bike train is a group of students led by an adult on their bike to school. We are hoping for one route this year. Please contact Sarah Lerand, 414-841-3576 or sjlerand@yahoo.com if you are interested in leading.

Volunteer Opportunities for High Interest Day
McKinley’s High Interest Day will be held on April 27th. Classes will be assigned soon and class schedules will come home in the April 24th Tuesday folder. Be a part of this fun day! High Interest Day cannot happen without the help of volunteers. Please complete the volunteer form and return it to school. If you are unable to volunteer during the day, but still want to be part of the fun, click the link below to sign up to bring baked goods or drinks for the volunteers.
Attention All Spring Cleaners!
The McKinley Green Team is sponsoring a Textile Drive on Saturday April 28th. People may drop off any unwanted clothing/textiles at the McKinley north playground from 9:00am-noon.
Our partner is Better Earth Textile Recycling (BETR). This company works to bring new life to old clothing by redistributing to people in need throughout the world. In this way, BETR "closes the loop" and keeps discarded textiles out of landfills.
Recycling your textiles is an easy way to help the earth & others too - hope to see you on the 28th!
In addition, please feel free to reach out to any local media contacts you may have in the hopes of widening awareness!
Thank you very much for your assistance,
The McKinley Green Team Students, Jenny Leigh, Stephanie Jaramillo, Liz Daily
