Coming Soon: The Option of In-Person Hybrid Learning
This is NEW! It was just presented to the School Board last night. We are still working out the details. We will do our best to clearly show what the model will look like and what a student day would look like before you are asked to choose Hybrid or remain in Distance Learning.
*This model ensures support for students whether they come in-person for hybrid time or choose to remain in full distance learning.
Canvas Modules will continue to come out on Monday and are due on Friday
Current planning is for a middle and high school model that provides students regularly scheduled in-person opportunities twice a week in the morning, 3 classes a day.
The model is intended to serve the needs of all learners, distance or hybrid
Ensure the safety and wellness of students and staff.
Provide student access to teachers both in-person and via Google meet synchronous learning
The implementation of a hybrid model is a prerequisite for full in-person instruction and we want to be prepared to transition to full in-person should conditions allow.
The model is implemented through a rolling start process (required by MDH and MDE) in which students are gradually brought back in the building. The following dates are subject to change based on Dept of Health guidance:
Week of March 1: 3 Transition Days (Tues, Wed, Thurs). Students will receive a lighter learning module and have access to teachers Monday and Friday.
Week of March 8: Start hybrid with 6th, 9th, 12th graders The ability to orient our newest students to their school is essential.
Week of March 15: Phase in 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th graders.
Families may choose to continue in all distance learning if they wish.
Watch for Additional Hybrid Information and a Survey the Week of Feb 8-12
