School Council Update
- Gave feedback on the district Wellness policy. This feedback will be incorporated into a district-level revision of the policy.
- Gave feedback on a draft of a parent survey, which I would like to send to parents next weekend. I am curious to learn how parents are feeling about school communication, about the school experience from both the parent perspective and the student, and about overall "feeling" of the school. If you have anything that you think is important to add to a parent survey, please let me know soon!
The Council is a great group, consisting of teachers, parents, and administrators. We engage in great conversations about school structure, events, and culture. Parents who participate learn a lot about the school, and provide meaningful input to the running of the school. We welcome new participants every year; consider it for 2019-2020!
PTO Looking for Board Members for 2019-2020
As their students are moving out of Coolidge, 3 of our 5 positions will be open next year, including Vice President, Treasurer (with guidance), and Secretary. If you would like to learn more about what any of these roles would entail, please feel free to reach out to Sarah Marchant!
The group meets the first Thursday evening of the month. The major goal of the group is to provide financial support for the school. It's a low-key group who has a nice time together!
