State Testing Announcements
State Testing Announcements:
3rd-8th grade Ohio State Testing kicks-off on April 10th and goes through May 5th. It is very important that your child comes to school each day, on time, prepared to take their test. Testing will begin promptly by 9am each day.
3rd-8th Grade will be taking both Reading and Math. 5th and 8th Grade will take Science in addition to Reading and Math. 3rd grade parents, please remember that your child must pass either the Ohio State ELA test or the iReady Reading Diagnostic test in order to pass the Third Grade Reading Guarantee and be promoted to 4th grade.
The Ohio Department of Education has a plethora of family resources, including a practice test that you can access from home. If you would like to give your child practice opportunities at home, please follow the below steps:

MPA Families,
I can't believe that spring break is over and we are heading into state testing! This is going to be a very busy quarter where it is going to be important for students to come to school each day, on time and well rested. We have worked extremely hard to prepare the students for testing and are very proud of each of them for staying focused and trying their best. Please give words of encouragement as your student works through the frustrations and anxiety that testing can bring. Our staff has many activities planned that will help keep the students positive and motivated. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding the testing dates and process.
Enrollment and Reenrollment season has begun. If you haven't already, please turn in your reenrollment forms and Proof of Residencies (POR). The classrooms are currently in a competition where the class who turns in the most forms and PORs will be rewarded with a surprise. Please remember that a completed reenrollment form and POR ensures that your child's spot is reserved for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This is also the time to enroll any new students, so please spread the word and encourage others to schedule tours and reach out for information. The enrollment process can also be completed online by visiting our school website at https://monroeprep.org/apply/. If you have any questions regarding this process, please reach out to the school office at 567-998-7522.
Please visit our resource page on our school website to learn about our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, as well as other parent resources that are available.
https://monroeprep.org/resources/ . I value our partnership in your child's education and wish everyone the best as we move through the last quarter of the year. Let's go #teamMPA!
Sincerely,
Principal Blackshire-Goode
