High Expectations: Every Scholar, Every Day
A Word from Principal Haynes
Greetings Parents,
Thank you all parents who came out to our Volunteer Orientation Breakfast this past week! WE hope that if you were unable to make it, that you will still reach out to us about ways you can help on campus. We had some wonderful parents come in last week also to help put together our student data folders. These folders are how our students will be tracking their goals to make sure that they are progressing well. So we thank those parents who came out to help.
The first round of Common Formative Assessments for math have been done. The students did very well, especially our 4th and 5th graders!! This week, Grades 3-5 will be taking their first ELA test and the second round of math assessments will also take place. It is important that your child is in school and on time EACH and EVERY day!! Every second counts from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
Please make sure you are aware of the BCPS Attendance Policy 5.5!! Students with attendance issues may be contacted by our Community Liaisons and/or School Social Worker to gain understanding regarding the absences, tardy minutes, or early sign outs.
Interim reports went home on Friday--please sign and return it back to your child's teacher. Your support is appreciated in pushing our students to EXCELLENCE!!!
Wishing you an AMAZING and BLESSED week!!
Principal Haynes

Headphones
Parents, a NUMBER ONE supply that scholars need are headphones (not ear buds). There a few stores you can find inexpensive ($5-10) headphones: Big Lots and Five Below. The students must work on iReady in the classrooms and they need headphones for that. Please make it a priority to get these. Thank you!!
