CIF Update regarding athletics

Wolf Pack students and families,

CIF State released a statement on 12/1/20 Regarding Education-Based Athletics for 2020-21 School Year. The official CIF statement can be found HERE.

A few things to note...

  • All full practice and competition start dates are officially on hold until updated guidance is issued (Not expected from the California Department of Public Health until after January 1).
  • All Regional and State Championship events are going to be removed from the Season 1 Sports calendar.
  • Boys volleyball will be moved to Season 2 to avoid the loss of a second full season.

While this is not what we would wish for our student-athletes, we remain committed to following state and local guidelines regarding schools and COVID-19. We will continue to hope for a change in guidelines in January that will allow our athletes to compete and will send updates as we receive them.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you!

WE HEAR YouTH Survey Results

This year’s shift to a quarter system allowed for the addition of an Advisory Period into our bell schedule. This 20 minute period has allowed for us to cover topics like mental health, campus safety, organization and motivation, just to name a few. All students, even those in full distant learning, receive the advisory lessons through email and/or from their Advisory teacher.

Please click HERE for the survey results, important information, and additional supports for our students. Thank you students, Assistant Principal Mrs. Gaeir, Mending Matters, and the Advisory Committee for this information!

Student Handbook

Students and Parents/Guardians:

The faculty and staff are proud to partner with you in the education of your student. Educational success for all students cannot be complete without an effective partnership with all parents/guardians. You are the most essential part of your children’s education, and it is important that we build a strong relationship in order to best serve your student’s educational needs.

We strongly encourage you to review the 2020-21 Student Handbook.

This week we highlight the OUT- OF- BOUNDS policy.

To protect the safety of our campus, students are required to remain on campus at all times during the school day. Out Of Bounds areas are the parking lots and any area outside the service road when not accompanied by a staff member. If a student is found in the out-of-bounds area during school, a search of the student, their belongings, and their vehicle may be conducted.

If you need to go to your car or be in an out of bounds area during school, please contact the Administration office for assistance.

For more information, see our policy on page 46 or contact your assigned Assistant Principal.

Neck and Face Gaiters Reminder

Also, The CDC has updated their website and our District has asked us to make sure we are not allowing neck and face gaiters on campus any longer. Please see the CDC page here for more information. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Thank you!
