JISD Reads Together
The goal for JISD reads together is to get as many staff, students and families to read the same book from grades K-12. We are also putting together a JISD digital cookbook. To pull out those favorite recipes and share so we can all taste the deliciousness.
Come on Kirby family of staff and students - I know we have readers out there that will enjoy this book. You can check it out from Sora, the library or the ELAR teachers on campus. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me and I will be happy to help.

Gilly wouldn't call herself wicked, exactly. But when you have five little brothers and sisters and live in a run-down boot, you must get creative to make ends meet. Gilly's a pretty good thief (if she does say so herself). Until she gets caught.
Gilly's sentenced to three months at Fairy Tale Reform School where all the teachers are former (super-scary) villains like the Big Bad Wolf, the Evil Queen, and Cinderella's Wicked Stepmother. Harsh. But when she meets fellow students Jax and Kayla, she learns there's more to this school than its heroic mission.
There's a battle brewing and Gilly must wonder...just how good these bad guys really are?

About the Librarian
My name is Gina Lehman, and I am excited to be your librarian again this school year. I am proud to say that I have spent all 24 years of my educational career in Judson ISD. I began my career teaching reading for 6th and 7th graders at Woodlake Hills Middle School. For the past 18 years I have enjoyed serving as librarian at Kirby Middle School. I strongly believe that we all can achieve academic success, be inspired for creativity and develop a love for reading by finding the stories that touch our lives.
