Scheduling for 2021-2022
December 2020 - Teachers make recommendations for students’ next year’s courses.
January 8 - Course Offering Book available on HS Counseling website and Xello.
January 11-March 12 - Freshmen will select course selections on Xello. Instructions will be sent to freshmen and parents/guardians the week of January 11.
January 19-February 12 - Counselors will meet with 10th grade students to select courses for next year.
Feb. 12 - Juniors should choose course selections in English 11 class.
Feb. 22-March 12 - Counselors will meet with 11th grade students to select courses for next year.
March 15-April 9 - Counselors will meet with 9th grade students individually to review selected courses on Xello for next year.
April 16 - Students’ course selections will be mailed home for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please note these are course selections/requests as actual classes offered will depend on
course enrollments.
May 10 - Deadline for students to contact their counselor about course selection changes.
May 11 - End of July - Master schedule development.
August - Students’ schedules are mailed home. Students will have the opportunity to make schedule changes in August depending on seat availability. In the fall, students will have 10 days from the start of the semester to add/drop a full year course and 5 days to add/drop a half year course.
Students will be given a copy of their course selections at their meeting. Please review it with your child. Please feel free to contact your student’s counselor if you have questions or concerns regarding the scheduling process, NYS graduation requirements, or if you would like to meet with your student and the counselor individually.
