The Cuban Amazon Parrot

The Cuban Amazon is a green parrot with dark edging to its feathers giving a scaled appearance . The head is a distinctive combination of pinky-red on the throat and cheeks, and white on the forecrown and around the eyes . The belly is a dull purple-pink, while the flight feathers are a soft blue.

Threats and protection

Most of Cuban Parrot are killed because their leather are expensive. Now they only could live under protection or they will get killed by hunters. We should protect them because they provide a lot information to scientists to study parrots, their feather could use to make new medicine. Cuban parrot's feather are also use to study other birds also. So we should start protect them from hunters. In California Cuban Parrot's population drop form 1500 to 1000. If we don't start protect them, they will become extinct in 3 years.
