I Make A Difference!
This week’s “I Make a Difference Award” goes to Amanda Feliciano! She is a consummate professional, always ready to help if someone asks, be it a staff member, parent or student. She is incredibly organized and efficient, which helps our whole school run more smoothly. Amanda always has a ready smile and a listening ear for everyone. Even on days that can be incredibly harried and stressful, Amanda never seems to lose her cool! We are so grateful for ALL she does! Thank you Amanda, for your warmth and willingness to help!

Talent Ed Tips for Success

Winter WildLife Festival: K-5 Teacher Workshop
This workshop will highlight the new on-line Project Learning Tree units "Treemendous Science" (K-2) and "Energy in Ecosystems" (3-5). Following the same award-winning hands-on format, these units highlight interactions between plants and animals. During the workshop, teachers will participate in activities from both of the units and receive the materials necessary to conduct those activities at their schools. Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation - FREE Outreach Program

Report Cards
Our Quarter # 2 Report Cards - DOT Timeline is as follows:
1/24 - Specialists lock down grades by 5pm
1/27 - Homeroom teachers lock down by 5pm
**Reminder: Please write your comments in advance of the grade lock down and have a colleague proof them for you!
1/28 - Report cards will be delivered to teachers for final proofing by 9am
1/29 - Proofed report cards must be returned to Carolyne by 5pm
1/30 - Report cards to Admin for review
2/3 - Report cards go home

Quarterly Content Planning Dates Inquiry Learning Series: Launching into Quarter 3
The sessions for SY 2019-2020 will provide teachers with opportunities to deepen their own personal content knowledge as well as grow their practice. Teachers will be able to preview upcoming content and identify resources available. The sessions will build teacher capacity to develop a classroom culture centered on performance-based assessments and inquiry-based learning. Teachers will sign up in Frontline. Transfer Procedures for 2020-2021
- Wednesday, February 5 - Registration opens for the Transfer Meet and Greet event using Frontline Professional Growth, and vacancies begin to be posted on Intranet for all transfers.
- Thursday, February 13 - Principals must notify individuals that they are priority transfers
- Monday, February 24 - Online registration deadline for the Transfer Meet and Greet event for all voluntary and priority transfers who wish to attend.
- Thursday, February 27 - Transfer Meet and Greet event at Green Run HS from 4:30-5:45 p.m.
