2016 ALPFA Southeast Regional Student Symposium

Saturday, Feb. 6th, 8am-5pm

The objective of this year’s symposium program is to have students take a proactive approach to discovering their passion and purpose in life and incorporating it into their career pursuits, while developing flexible skillsets adaptable to various industries. The Symposium program will engage students through a series of interactive sessions including workshops, a Leadership Panel, and Mentoring Luncheon with Keynote Speaker, culminating in a Career Fair in which students can then apply their recently acquired skills.

ALPFA Preps/ Professional Headshots Meeting

This is going to be our first meeting of the semester/year! At this meeting we will have a representation and do resume critiques (courtesy of our MLT board members). We are basically getting you guys ready for the symposium in February.

The Arch Society Application

The Arch Society serves the University of Georgia as the official hosts and goodwill ambassadors. We invite you to apply to become a member of the 2016-2017 Arch Society! To be eligible for membership, candidates must be:

-A full-time student
-Rising third-year or above
-In good academic and disciplinary standing
-Have at least one full year remaining at the university


They will be holding information sessions that will serve as a great opportunity to learn more about the organization, meet their current members, and ask any questions you may have about The Arch Society or the application process. The dates are as follows:

-Wednesday January 13th at 7:30 in MLC 214
-Tuesday January 19th at 7:30 in MLC 214
-Thursday January 21st at 7:30 in MLC 214

Apply to MLT Career Prep

MLT's Career Prep Program helps Black, Hispanic, and Native American college juniors and seniors with strong academic performance translate those achievements into a successful career in an area that they're passionate about. Career Prep provides each Rising Leader with a personalized playbook to maximize their career success, one-on-one coaching from an MLT coach to get ready for the professional world, and an extensive network of peers, mentors, and over 4,000 MLT Rising Leaders that they can leverage throughout their careers.


MLT's early action application is due on January 15th and the regular application is due on March 1st. Please click on the link below to apply.

HSF Application

HSF strives to make college education a top priority for every Latino family across the nation, mobilizing our community to proactively advance that goal – each individual, over a lifetime, in every way he/she can. As the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education, the Fund has awarded over $470 million in scholarships and provides a range of ancillary programs for students, HSF Scholars, Alumni, and parents.


Their application is officially open! The application is due on March 30th. The link to apply is posted below.
