Soft Lockdown Drill This Week

This week, students will participate in a soft lockdown drill on Wednesday, October 26th.

During this drill, an announcement is made letting the building know that we are in a soft lockdown. Teachers will respond by accounting for all students, locking doors, and continuing to teach. During this drill, we will check that all doors are locked; students may hear someone jiggle the doorknobs.

Soft lockdowns are used when there may be a disturbance in the surrounding area that will likely not involve our school, but that we are aware of and want to be ready to go into a full lockdown if the situation changes quickly.

While students are not made aware of when every fire drill is, we are sharing this information because while these are things we have to practice, it is not our intent to scare anyone.

Ordering Snacks for School Celebrations

This is a reminder that outside food and snacks are not permitted to be brought in to school for student celebrations (i.e. birthday celebrations). However, our Nutrition Services department does offer an opportunity for families to purchase snacks through the cafeteria that would be provided to your child's class during their lunch period.

The price list and order form can be found below. We also have paper copies in the front office. Feel free to reach out if you have additional questions.

Student Absence Form

If your child has been or is going to be absent for an upcoming appointment or any other reason, you can submit that information by clicking the button above.

Breakfast and Lunch are provided FREE OF CHARGE for all students!

All students will have access to a free breakfast and lunch every day!

Be mindful that even if your child brings breakfast and/or lunch with them, we CANNOT DENY students access to the meals that we have in school, so if you do not want them to eat a school breakfast/lunch or have concerns about the possibility of them eating a double lunch (the one that bring from home and what we offer in school) and ending up with a tummy ache, please have that conversation with your scholar. :-)
