The Leader In Me: Students Lend a Helping Hand

Have you ever witnessed true collaboration among students? Western Salisbury Elementary in Allentown, PA, is a Leader in Me school that inspires their students to proactively make a difference. While reading a news article in class, a group of 5th graders came up with a big idea that would deeply touch their teacher’s life. After taking the initiative to write letters to Johns Hopkins University, the students received an unexpected response and a field trip to Maryland. Watch the 5 minute video below to learn more!

The Leader in Me Staff Book Study

Great News! There are currently two groups of staff gathering together to share thinking and discuss the book The Leader in Me.

Monday- 7:30-8:00

Feb 8th: Chapters 3 and 4

Feb 22nd: Chapters 5, 6, and 7

March 7th: Chapters 8, 9, and 10

Thursday- 4:00-4:30

Feb 18th: Chapters 3, 4, and 5

March 3rd: Chapters 6 and 7

March 10th: Chapters 8, 9, and 10

Even better news! If you would like to be part of a book study but couldn't make it work this time around, we'll be offering another study group after Spring Break!
