COVID-19 Health Wellness
Cambrian Superintendent Dr. Carrie Andrews, October 14, 2020
Dear Cambrian Staff and Families,
In Cambrian School District as a school community, parents, staff and students are guided by core values rooted in respect for one another and each others’ well being. This shared sense of commitment to one another’s safety, health and well-being is one of the reasons Cambrian School District is certainly a special place to teach and learn.
While in the midst of this pandemic, we all must take these shared core values with a consistent mindset to prevent the spread of illness. In working collaboratively together and following the Santa Clara Public Health Department requirements we can all help to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and to keep staff and students safe. While it is very likely there will be isolated COVID cases in our community, by strictly working together to adhere to all state and local regulations will help prevent the further spread of illness. United in the Cambrian School District, we can all work together to respect, protect and support each other.
When a COVID-19 case does transpire, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department has outlined the process of communication that our District has taken and will continue to follow as those positive or close contacts occur. On September 21st, the Santa Clara Public Health Department provided updated detailed guidance to schools regarding steps to take in response to suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases and close contacts with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 (Santa Clara County Public Health Department: A Parent’sGuide To the Reopening of Santa Clara County K-12 Schools for the 2020-2021 School Year Issued September 21, 2020).
In addition, the Cambrian School District Safely Returning to In Person Instruction Handbook September 23, 2020 reviews the health and safety measures in place and processes of communication with a COVID-19 potential case or close contact. We’ve added some newly-published resources from the Santa Clara County Public Health Department for your convenience.
As always we put the health and safety of our students and staff as our first priority in the Cambrian School District. We will continue to update you if necessary on all vital information regarding COVID-19, schools reopening, and any health or safety-related issues that may come up. We appreciate your attention, concern and input. We are CAMBRIAN.
