From the Principal's Desk
As we approach almost one year since we entered a very different learning environment. What we thought would be a brief short break from ordinary schooling, has now revamped how we teach and learn, and live. Next week many teachers will receive their second vaccine, please refer to the communication from the district shared yesterday to be aware of possible changes in the week's schedule. We appreciate all the support this year and are happy to have entered our final trimester of the year. Have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Birthday to our Remote Students!
The PTO has a special birthday gift for all our Lincoln Leopards! Any remote student that has a birthday in the months of August through March and has not picked up their birthday bag at the school, please come by at your convenience during office hours to pick it up!
From The LRC
One Book One School
Congratulations to Jack Schiffbauer for being this week's trivia/family activity participation winner! The trivia and family activities have been updated for Week 4 on the One Book One School Website. Participate in one (or both!) by Wednesday to have your family' entered into the drawing. Remember that you can also visit the website to hear Lincoln staff members reading Flora and Ulysses aloud!March Book Madness - Pictures below from our Kick off and Jersey day this past Monday!
The elementary LRC directors are promoting a district-wide book bracket based on March Book Madness (#2021MBM). Each week throughout the month of March, students will listen to books that have been recorded by the elementary LRC directors and Youth Services Librarians at the St. Charles Public Library. Students will use Google Forms to vote for their favorite of two books while eliminating books in a bracket-style competition. All students, remote and in-person, will have the chance to participate in this fun reading promotion featuring "Just Some Great Books." We will announce the book that is the district winner on March 25!
Save the Date!
The first meeting of the D303 Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (D303 SE-PAC) will meet virtually via Zoom on Tuesday March 23, 2021 from 7:00-8:30 pm. If you are a parent/guardian of a student entitled to special education services in D303, we are excited for this partnering opportunity.
