Application Processes
STEP 1:
Register for UMAT
Step 2:
Research the institutions and courses you are interested in applying for by looking through their websites and the relevant tertiary admission centres e.g. VTAC (Victorian Universities), QTAC (Queensland Universities), UAC (New South Wales and ACT)
Research Postgraduate Medicine Programs and entry requirements. There is always another pathway if you do not receive a place straight out of high-school.
Step 3:
Take note of key dates:
- UMAT registration
- UMAT examination
- Institution specific application submission dates
- Tertiary Admission Centre registration dates (course preference submission)
- Applicable scholarship submission dates
Step 4:
UMAT Preparation
UMAT Examination
Step 5:
Register with all state Tertiary Admission Centres where you will be applying for undergraduate courses (e.g. UAC, QTAC etc..)
Step 6:
Submit individual institution applications
Step 7:
Interview Preparation (know your WHY!)
Attend interviews (University) if required.
Step 8:
Submit final course preferences to Tertiary Admissions Centre
