I hope everyone had a great time away from work and school celebrating our many blessings with your loved ones...I know I did! But, it's always nice to be back.

This Week in Kindegarten

In chapel this week, we hear of God's special message for Mary!

For reading, we continue learning about Tic, Tac, and Toc, the latest of the Superkids.

In math we are beginning to identify 3D shapes, matching number cards to a specific set, working with geoboards, reviewing the penny, and introducing the dime!

We will also start decorating our classroom for the Christmas season. We already have our nativity scene out, and will get ornaments made for our tree. Some will be Eric Carle inspired to go along with our theme unit for the week. Please note that our focus for the Christmas season is celebrating and preparing for the birth of Christ, our savior. Any other traditions your family may have mentioned by the students (i.e., Santa, elves, etc.) will be "Christmas Secrets" to discuss with the teacher at a later time. We really want to celebrate and focus on God's greatest gift to us, Jesus!

Upcoming Events

The LCLC Christmas service is Friday, December 19th at 4:30 p.m. Please sign up at the center for something to bring for our refreshments immediately following the service.

Christmas break starts on Wednesday, December 24th. Classes resume again on January 5th.

January 19th is parent-teacher conferences. A sign-up sheet will be set out on the parent desk when we return after break.
