Online Registration & Enrollment Verification
New student registrations and current students verifications can be completed online. Our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Parent Video, and Parent Guide are available to help you through the process.
Current BSD parents verifying active students - Online Enrollment Verification
Online Enrollment Verification is now available!
BSD parents and guardians have the ability to verify their child(ren)'s enrollment information through the parent portal, ParentVUE. This annual paper process was formerly a part of the Back to School packet that was brought home to parents/guardians to review, update and return to the office. Verification of enrollments can now be completed online each year. Feel free to watch a helpful video or view this flyer (English | Spanish) to help you through the process.
New BSD parents registering new students:
As a new BSD parent who has never had a child in one of our schools, you will create a new parent account by entering your name and email address in Online Registration. You will then receive an email with the online registration link to complete and submit your enrollment application.
For more information, including flyers, FAQ's, and helpful videos, please visit the Online Registration webpage.
At this time, Online Registration is not available to re-enroll returning students, please print the Enrollment Form along with additional required forms and bring them to the enrolling school to register your child. If necessary, you can use the District Address Locator to determine your boundary school.
For more information please visit the Online Registration webpage.
Student Accident Insurance
Beaverton School District insurance does not cover student injuries due to accidents at school or during school-sponsored activities, such as field trips. At the beginning of each school year, the District provides parents with information on a voluntary accident insurance program. Parents should consider this insurance option if their student is not covered by a family health or accident insurance plan.
Coverage is required for students participating in interscholastic sports who cannot show proof of other accident or health coverage. Students must purchase coverage under Interscholastic Tackle Football Accident Plan (grades 9-12) if participating in tackle football or Student Accident & Sickness Plan or Full-Time 24/7 Accident Plans for all other Interscholastic Sports.
Optional accident insurance and sports coverage is obtained by parents directly from Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc.
Filing a Claim
If you have purchased Student Accident & Health Insurance and need to file a claim, contact Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc. at (800) 827-4695.

Employee Password Management Tool for Macs
To help staff know when their password is close to expiring, the IT Department is deploying a tool called NoMAD. This tool will be present in the menu bar in the top right corner of your Mac. It will appear as the Beaverton School District logo. By clicking on this tool it will give you the ability to:
- Change your login password
- Check your password when you’re changing it to make sure it meets the district requirements
- Display the number of days until your password expires ie. 15d = 15 days until the password will expire
- Receive warnings when your password is approaching its expiration date
Each time you change your password you will be prompted to sign in to the application so the amount of time before your password expires displays properly.
Digital Faxing
Traditional faxes will slowly go away as the system is implemented across the District. More information will be provided to traditional fax users about timelines and training when the system is ready to implement.
If you are getting ready to replace a traditional fax with a new one, please hold off and contact the IT Telecom Department to discuss your options.
For up-to-date IT changes in information, please visit the BSD IT Changes 2018-2019 Intranet webpage.

Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program Changes
The Beaverton School District is making a change to the District’s Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program starting in the 2018-2019 school year. Instead of opting into the program, families will have the opportunity to opt out.
At the beginning of each school year, all students in grades 6-12 will be automatically enrolled in the District’s Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program. The fee for enrolling in the program is $20 per school year per Chromebook. This fee is charged to the student’s account at the beginning of each year. The fee for the Damage/Loss Protection Program is waived for families who qualify for the free or reduced meal benefits program. This will only be automatically waived if families have elected to share this information by filling out the Free and Reduced Price School Meal Application form through SchoolCafe.
If a student chooses to not check out a Chromebook for whatever reason, the student can have the Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program fee removed from their account by submitting a Refusal of Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program form to their school’s office. A student may also check out a Chromebook and refuse to participate in the Damage/Loss Protection Program. In this case, the student will need to submit a Refusal of Chromebook Damage/Loss Protection Program form and, by doing so, will assume the full costs of repair or replacement should a damage or loss incident occur.
To enable students to have access to this technology on the first day or week of school, most schools will issue Chromebooks immediately at the start of the school year (or during registration events). It is important that students pay the fee for the Damage/Loss Protection Program as soon as possible to ensure that they are financially protected in the case of a damage or loss incident. Students who have not paid the fee are not eligible to be covered by the program benefits listed in the Chromebook Handbook. Families can use the District’s Online Payment System to pay this and other fees and fines.

The 28 student leaders traveled to Washington D.C. in July, for a three-day team building and organizing workshop meeting. The program, launched this year, gives students the resources and opportunities to continue their efforts to improve gun safety laws where they live.
