Week in Review

We are continuing our study of realistic fiction. The students are expected to have read a sample of realistic fiction by tomorrow (Thursday). This has been an expectation for two weeks, but some students have not completed the book or brought it in. We will use these readings to create a project for display at the Crozet Library in November/December. Please encourage your child to get this assignment done and to bring the book in tomorrow, if he/she hasn't already. We have started our unit on economics. This study will culminate in a "class economy" where everyone earns class "dollars" for their work and bonuses for exemplary behavior or work. Fines can be meted out for unfinished assignments or poor behavior. In December, each student will create a product or service to sell at the class market. Students will spend their class "dollars" at that market.
