Elementary Club 21
Cottonwood Creek and Wilson Elementary
What is Club 21?
As a tool to support transformation, Coppell ISD has issued an iPad to every 4th and 5th grade learner at Cottonwood Creek and Wilson Elementary. This iPad initiative, Elementary Club 21, is a means to provide ways for some of our younger learners to make deeper connections to the world and to each other.

Creativity and Innovation
Presentations via 30Hands
Learners create 30Hands presentations to showcase work for learner led conferences.
Regions of Texas
Using Thinglink interactive images and QR codes, 4th grade learners take visitors on a tour through Texas.
Screencasting Math Concepts
Learners use the Educreations app to explain Math concepts like Prime Factorization.
Communication and Collaboration
Lights, Camera, Action
Video allows our learners to build fluency when reading, practice proper form in PE, prepare for presentations and more!
Meaningful Feedback
Using Google Drive folders to share their work, learners participate in menu pathways in Math and Science. As they work, educators comment as a way to provide meaningful feedback to groups and individuals.
Real Time Assessment
Learners use tools like Socrative, which provide educators the information they need to differentiate learning.
Information Fluency
Researching our Passions
Learners use their iPads during Genius Hour to research what they are passionate about.
Use Google Drive for Notes
Groups studying the 13 colonies work in Google Drive to take collaborative notes on the research they find.
Library Research
Partnering with our Librarians, learners research and evaluate information using Destiny One Search.
Critical Thinking Skills
Digital Portfolios
Learners evaluate different digital portfolio tools in order to determine the right fit. Digital Portfolios are shared with parents at learner-led conferences.
Planning a Project
Learners work in the Trello app to keep track of the steps needed to complete a PBL project.
Critical Thinking Simulations
Learners use organizers like Popplet to model thinking. Here, they apply what they know about the regions of the U.S. to outline a plan of how they would stay safe during a Zombie Apocalypse simulation.
Authentic Digital Citizenship: Club 21 Handbook
Using what they know about our district's Acceptable Use for Technology Resources, learners collaborated during a PBL experience to create a handbook for iPad usage. This handbook was shared with parents to help inform them about Club 21.
