Important Information

Fall Fundraiser

Our Fall Fundraiser is underway! We encourage you to send in your donations with the sheet sent home in the red First Day Folder. All donations go towards buying items for the school and helping teachers purchase supplies for their classrooms. Thank you to all who have donated!

grandparents' day

Grandparents' Day will be on Friday, September 26th from 10-10:40 am. Students will have the opportunity to interview their grandparents, read and complete different activities, and give their grandparents a tour of our classroom. We ask that grandparents do not stay for lunch, as our lunchroom is already very crowded! Background checks are not required for grandparents.

*If your child's grandparent is unable to attend, feel free to have them invite another family member (including mom or dad) to join them. We do not want anyone to feel left out!

Lunch & New Background Checks

All guests and parent volunteers must have their background check completed prior to volunteering at school or having lunch with their child. The online background checks may take up to 6 days to process. You do not need to complete a background check prior to visiting if you have had one done in HSE within the past 3 years. ALL guests must also complete an online anti-bullying training webinar.

For more information on background checks and the anti-bullying webinar, please visit:

Wish List

Some parents have asked for additional "Wish List" items. At this time, I believe we have everything we need! I am looking into purchasing more leveled books for students to keep in their book totes. It would be hard to compile a list of books, but if you are interested in donating, please let me know. The books I have found are around $25 a set. I will always also accept "Prize Box" items! I mostly purchase these from the Dollar Tree or Target's Dollar Spot. Thank you!

Just for a Laugh...

Lucy is moving to INDY, so I traveled to Chicago this weekend to help babysit while her parents packed. Here is a picture of her at the park. 2 year olds are definitely entertaining!
