I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and that you all have had a wonderful start to the holiday season. I know that on my list of “Things to be Thankful For”, HAMOM is right up near the top. I am so grateful to be a part of such a fantastic group of ladies!
We had a fabulous time at the HAMOM Holiday Party in November. I think we may have had a record turnout with over 30 MOMs there. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night. We had great food and a wonderful time with the gift exchange. Thanks especially to Ashley Lang who organized and hosted the event! Great job Ashley!
Coming up this Saturday, December 6 from 9am-11am at the First Baptist Church, we will have our "Cookies with Santa" family event. As always, Santa will be there for pictures so bring the kiddos dressed in their cutest Christmas outfits or PJs. We will have a professional photographer there to take pictures, but you will also be free to snap your own. We will have crafts for the kids and a hot chocolate bar with all sorts of yummy "fixin's". And of course there will be cookies! If you can, bring a dozen or two of your favorite cookies or other holiday treats to share. If you haven’t already signed up, here is the link for the Sign-up Genius for this event: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a44acab2ea64-cookies.
As I said in the last newsletter, we will not have a regular meeting in December, but we will start back on our regular schedule starting in January. We are planning on having a financial adviser come talk to us about budgeting other money issues. For February's meeting, we are going to have a "Cupcake 101" night where we get to learn some basic decorating techniques, and then eat cupcakes. :)
Have a great December!
