4 x 100 meter relay
The 4 × 100 metres relay or sprinting relay is an athletic track event run in lanes over one lap of the track with four runners completing 100 metres each. The first runners must begin in the same stagger as for the individual 400 m race. A relay baton is carried by each runner and must be passed within a 20 m changeover box (usually marked by yellow lines) which extends 10 m on either side of each 100 m mark of the race. Another line is marked 10 m further back, marking the earliest point at which the outgoing runner may begin slowing down.
Can women have a lower time than men?
Do you think that women can have a lower time than men? Well this article is about predicting that. We have evidence women's time has intercepted and passed the men's time.
Data of the times of men and women
This is our data
This is data that contains the years, the men's times, and also the women's times.
More data
This so more data I have collected.
Scatter plot
This is the scatter plot that has graphed the data table that I have just collected.
The line of regression
The red line represents the trend of the lady's times. The blue line represents the trend of the men's times.
The intersection
The intersection of both of the lines means that women's time are going to be faster than men's times in the future.
The X coordinate
The X coordinate is the years in which both women and men both participated in the Olympics. For this Calculation this is the X coordinate.
The Y intercept
The Y intercept is the time of the men and the women. For this calculation it is the Y coordinate.
