Firearms and Weapons Policy

According to the diocesan website in regards to the new "open carry" state law, Bishop Olson has established a "Firearms and Weapons Policy, which "bans firearms and weapons in all diocesan locations, including churches, schools and all other facilities that are located on parish or diocesan sites." Saint Maria Goretti Catholic School Campus and Parish are working together to have signs properly placed according to the requirements stated in the diocesan Firearms and Weapons Policy.

Thank You to Home and School

The SMG staff would like to send a HUGE "thank you" to Home and School for the wonderful luncheon provided by Oliver's Fine Food. The decor was beautiful and the staff enjoyed the interactive games and the surprise visit from Santa with very generous gifts. Thank you, thank you for the blessings.

Staff Book Study Review

Our SMG staff has completed our book study of Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Mission by Dr. John Wood. After a semester of reading, dialogue, and reflection, we are now ready to apply the various concepts presented throughout the book. Becoming a Saint is the main theme of the book and we have discussed and noted many ways to model and provide our students with opportunities to encounter becoming a saint with Christ. As we continue on our faith journey, we are sharing our books and study material with Holy Family Catholic School staff so they may walk their journey to "Becoming a Saint" and the "five steps of winning the war within."

Prayer Intentions

Lord, please bless all those who are experiencing financial hardship. Send your loving spirit to watch over our brothers and sisters who are in need of Your healing hands for a healthy recovery. Please bring us all together to do your work and support one another in all that we do. Amen.

Please keep Jennifer Pelletier, Superintendent, as she undergoes emergency surgery today. Also pray that her family remains strong as Mr. Pelletier (her father) continues on his road to recovery.

Also, continue to keep Brad Maunders in your prayers as he heals from surgery.
