Using Non-Fiction to Support Common Core Learning Standards
This month I attended a conference with nationally recognized author/historian Dr. Marc Aronson. Through this conference I had the opportunity to explore the common core learning standard, dissect high quality non-fiction and determine which Non-fiction fits the framework of the common core. I am using the resources and knowledge I gained to purchase new non-fiction to ensure the library collection is meeting the needs of teachers as they teach the common core.
