Home to Planet Dixon's Out of this World 3rd Graders!
Week 33 May 16th-20th
Goodbye to Mrs. Rowland :(
Sadly, next Friday the 20th is Mrs. Rowland, our student teacher’s LAST day :( She has made such a difference and positive impact with each and every one of my scholars. I am so proud of how much she has grown and is 100% ready to have a class of her own! I am making a little basket for her and wanted to ask students to make cards/notes for her and if you want to send in a little something small to add to the basket (totally optional) please send in by no later than Wednesday and STUDENTS PLEASE KEEP IT A SURPRISE :) P.S. No H.W. besides reading and Lexia goal next week so write those notes! :)
Attached are some examples of things we can add- if you do send in, please have your child write a little note attached to it with similar to examples shown below. Also, please “sign up” for something below (write your name) so we have a variety. Again, these are just SOME small ideas...please feel free to add ANYTHING you think of or have a creative idea. Thanks in advance! Mrs. Dixon
Planet Dixon Open House
Thursday, May 19th, 6-7pm
1615 Schoolhouse Way
San Marcos, CA
I will be at my kinder child's class from 6-6:15 so Mrs. Rowland will be here at beginning. I'm hoping to see all of you so if you can, plan on going to other sibling classes first if at all possible or stick around until I get back :)
Please download QR Reader:
We will be using a Google Form to sign in. There will also be several QR codes around the room to access student work. So that you can be ready to do this, please check your phones to make sure you have a QR code reader. If you do not have one, please download one before coming to open house. Any free qr code reader will work- I usually use QR Code Reader(Apple) or Android but any will do.
RSVPs are enabled for this event.
3RD GRADE STATE TESTING - WEEK OF JUNE 6TH-10TH
In class, we will continue to learn and practice the standards required for 3rd grade.
If you have some time, please go to the testing Practice site. Click Here
Click on "Go to the Tests". There is no login needed for the practice tests, just leave it a Guest in all blanks. Try a few problems to see what they are like and have your child try some too. Discuss what they could do to help solve the problem.
I have the scoring guides for the practice tests so you can check student's practice work. Go to http://sbac.portal.airast.org/practice-test/resources/#scoring.
