This Week

We :

  • thought about food that is enjoyed in different African countries
  • ordered instructions for making flatbread with za'tar glazing
  • talked about some fruits and vegetables that are less common here in the Netherlands
  • listened as Mrs Clow and Mrs Nnenna talked about yams from West Africa - we even tasted the delicious yam
  • pounded yams using traditional methods
  • continued with our addition and subtraction work

Next week

We will:

  • complete our topic 'Little Masterchefs' by thinking about food from different countries in the Middle East
  • make couscous, adding different ingredients to make it unique
  • enjoy a range of international activities led by parents, Year 6 children and the teaching staff
  • celebrate diversity at JSD with our annual International Day on Thursday 26 March
