Gratitude and Thanksgiving
Gratitude and Thanksgiving…
As we near the Thanksgiving holiday I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for the love and support you have given to not only your kids, but to me and my staff this fall. I know this has not been easy for any of us, yet there is no other school community in which I would want to be doing it with.
I also wanted to let you know as stated in Superintendent Gardner’s latest update our district will be implementing limited in person learning for students in addition to our current comprehensive distance learning schedule. Our school will begin with bringing in our self contained Lifeskill students as stage one scheduled to start on November 16th. Our second stage will involve our kindergarten through second grade students and is currently planned to begin November 30th.
Students will be placed into smaller cohort groups and will attend in person in the afternoon two days per week from 12:00pm-1:30pm. There will be more details coming soon. This is voluntary and if you do not wish for your child to attend in person at this time you can simply decline. Our number one priority has been and will continue to be to keep our students and staff safe.
I also want to remind everyone of our conference days on November 23rd and 24th. These will be conducted virtually and our staff is very excited to get to visit personally with each of you. Kindergarten through fifth grade teachers will be contacting families next Monday to arrange individual time slots. Middle school teachers will be connecting with their homeroom classes to set up conference times. Another friendly reminder is that there is no school this Wednesday, November 11th, due to Veteran’s Day.
Again, I want to say how thankful I am to get to work with each of you...
