LENAPE LOOP GOING STRONG
Lenape Loop, a community-building advisory period that meets once a week on Thursdays, began back in November with the goals of continuing to foster a community spirit at Lenape, to build strong relationships among staff and students, and to forge a united, strong, and inclusive culture at Lenape. Students have been meeting once a week with their "Loop Leader" and discussing things like goals and inclusivity, while participating in "getting to know you" and community-building activities.
Throughout the month of March, all Lenape students will be participating in the LOOP PLAYOFFS, a grade-level competition that will take place during Loop all through March. Each Loop will be placed into a bracket and compete against other Loops in the grade. As the month goes on, we will get closer to crowning a Loop champion! The competitions will involve all members of each Loop and will include such game as reverse charades and Jenga. The goal of the tournament is to embed some spirit, competition, and fun into the school day.
In late March, a student focus group was created to help plan Loop activities and to discuss how things in Loop are going from the student perspective. Students have been voicing incredible ideas and thoughts about Loop, and we are excited to include their voices in the planning process. If you son or daughter would like to be involved in the group, contact Mr. Melvin at wmelvin@cbsd.org

Doylestown Lions Club "Eyeglass Drive"
The Lions Club has the "Lions Recycle for Sight Program". Throughout the year, Lions, Leos and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses and deliver them to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERC's). LERC volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses. Recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in low and middle income communities where they will have the greatest impact. http://www.lionsclubs.org/EN/how-we-serve/health/sight/eyeglass-recycling.php
You can make a difference! Drop off any eyeglasses that you no longer need at the drop box located at Lenape in the front office. Thank you for your participation.
