Foundation Announces Recipients of Distinguished Alumni Award
The Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation announces Dr. Sandy Clutter and Ted Martin as 2016 recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
In addition to outstanding careers in public service, both Clutter and Martin have contributed in significant ways to the betterment of their communities.
Dr. Clutter spent 34 years as a special education teacher and administrator. She helped develop the Class Within the Class model of inclusion for Belton and the State of Missouri, and was the first elementary special education teacher in the nation to work within this model.
Martin is Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director for the City of Branson Fire & Rescue Department. Over the past 30 years, Martin has focused much of his off-duty time working with teenagers through church ministry, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the youth ministry K-Life, and as a licensed foster parent.
