Message From The Principal
Good afternoon Stoller families,
I enjoyed connecting with some of you this Monday during the Principal chat. I will look forward to meeting more of you in the coming months. Thank you so much to those who were able to join. I appreciate the feedback you provide so that we can better serve your students. Some of your questions and concerns I can address at the building level; however, some of the items I will pass on to the District Office.
I was glad that many of you were able to join us for the Harvest drive thru Parade. If you were not able to join us, we will find other opportunities to come together as a school community.
In the upcoming weeks we will be sharing more information about Stoller Clubs. Please continue to check the “Important Dates” section for dates and start times.

Student Health Survey
· Student health and safety
· Student mental and behavioral health
· School climate and culture
Completing the Student Health Survey poses minimal risk to your child, who may feel embarrassed or uncomfortable answering some of the questions. Survey procedures have been designed to protect your child's privacy and allow for anonymous participation. If your child is not comfortable answering a question, he or she can leave it blank. While we encourage all students to participate, the decision to participate is voluntary. You may opt to send a refusal for your child’s participation. Alternatively, your child will have the opportunity to refuse at the time of the survey. There will be no action against you or your child if your child does not participate.
If you do not wish your child to take this survey, return this form to the principal’s office before the survey date of October 26-November 6. You need only return this form if you do not wish your child to participate.
The survey is available on the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health website for you to review before the survey.
If you have other specific questions about the survey, please feel free to call the main office, 503-356-2680.
Reminder: Student Device Damage & Protection Plan Payment Due
If you opted into the program and have not paid the $20 fee please do so asap. Students need to pay the assigned fee prior to any damage or loss claims to be eligible for the Protection Program coverage and no later than 30 days after they begin school.
This fee is waived for families who qualify for the free or reduced meal benefits program and have completed the “Permission to Share” form.
Attendance during Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL)
To report all day absences or absences during the day due to appointments, contact Attendance for excused absences.
The Attendance line: (503)356-2681 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
This email can also be accessed on Stoller's website.
If your student is going to be absent and not going to access curriculum anytime during that day, then you will need to report the absence with attendance for that to be an excused absence.
If your student is absent from a class and they access the curriculum, turn in an assignment, or engage in an activity on canvas anytime during the day, they Engaged Online (EOL) and this is not an absence, no need to call or email attendance. This is not considered an absence and the teacher will be able to make corrections in the students' attendance if they are marked absent. You may get an automated call from Stoller at 5pm, you may ignore it.
If your student was marked absent from a class that they did attend, please email the teacher to get it corrected. Do not call the attendance line, the teacher must confirm any changes to be made.
See the following link for an easy to follow flow chart for Attendance during CDL

Welcome Stoller Volunteers!
Volunteering in the 2020-21 school year will be unlike previous years. Although we are unsure what remote volunteer needs will be, we invite you to create a volunteer profile or update your existing profile. This will ensure you are able to help Stoller staff and students through volunteer work as opportunities arise. A volunteer profile is required for all volunteering within BSD schools. Please follow the steps below to update or create your volunteer profile. Additional information is available at www.stollerpto.com/volunteer.
Existing BSD Volunteers (new to Stoller)
Please send an email to email@example.com and request to add Stoller Middle School to the organizations listed in your mVP account. Provide your full first and last name as it appears in your profile. If you will no longer be volunteering at an elementary school, you may also request to remove that school from your profile.
New BSD Volunteers
If you are a new volunteer to the Beaverton School District, you must create a volunteer account. This process includes a background check.
- Parent/Guardian: Complete the Parent/Guardian Volunteer Application
- Community Volunteer: Complete the Community Volunteer Application (This applies to Grandparents, Nannies, Neighbors, etc)
- Youth Volunteers: Complete the Youth Volunteer Application
Within the application, please include all of the BSD schools where you are a volunteer. You will have one profile for all your BSD volunteering.
- This step also initiates a background check. It will come up for renewal every 2 years.
- Once your background check is complete, you will receive an email from Stoller PTO stating your background check approval status, and your volunteer profile at myimpactpage.com will be active.
IMPORTANT: Remember your log in and password! This is important for both home and school access to your profile. Make it easy to remember and/or keep it accessible. For more information, visit Beaverton School District Volunteer Page.
Thank you for giving your time and talents to Stoller this school year!
The Student Help Desk is now open. If you have any issues with your device or logging in, you will need to contact the Student Help Desk.
