Gator LEAD Learners Student Leadership Group

New to Gage this year is a student leadership group made up of twenty 4th and 5th graders. The goal of the LEAD (Leave a Legacy, Experience Learning, Advocate for ALL, Do what you can!) group is to develop student leaders with a strong connection to Gage, serve as members of an advisory group, and participate in community outreach and peer recognition activities.

They spent two days in August community building and developing leadership skills. They traveled to Eagle Bluff Learning Center in Lanesboro where they participated in the high ropes course.

Some of our members greeted RPS staff on their first day back to school kick-off at John Marshall.

We are very excited about the great ways this group will contribute to our school community!

Partner Spotlight

Over the summer, the Family & Community Resource Room moved locations in Gage--closer to the main office and hallway.

Through an Olmsted County Public Health SHIP grant, we were able to purchase new food pantry cabinetry.

Our partnership with Channel One helps keep it stocked for families.

Some of the other furnishings were purchased with the support of the Gage PTO.

United Way of Olmsted County, Hy Vee and various donors helped us provide backpacks and schools supplies for our students at Meet the Teacher night.

Thank you to our valued partners!
