Thoughts From the Principal . . .

This Friday, Dr. Eric Mackey, the superintendent of the Alabama State Department of Education will be holding a press conference to lay out Alabama's "roadmap" for re-opening public schools in the state. In an interview last week, Dr. Mackey told reporters that it will be a multi-tiered plan that will include a virtual option for students.

If you are a parent or guardian of a student or a teacher or staff member at Corner Middle School, let me STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to pay attention to the press conference and the details of the plan. In addition please be mindful of Jefferson County Superintendent, Dr. Walter Gonsoulin's response to the plan in the days to follow.

It is important that families and staff are aware of what is going on with schools in the state in order to plan ahead for August. This is a pivotal point in that planning for the school year ahead.

We hope that you are all having a great summer and are here to assist you in any way that we can!
