“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
― Mark Twain
This quote may optimize the wish that many parents have for their children’s future. Some of you may be fortunate enough to feel that way about your own career. Finding that ideal job is the challenge and for our children it is often a matter of “trying things on” to see what fits. The link below shares interesting looks at how people feel about the work they do. Although many of the videos may be more appropriate for older students, some could be fun for the younger ones such as Kite Designer or Experimental Film and Stop Motion Animator.
Perhaps take a few minutes over the upcoming school break and watch some of these with your sons and daughters. Ask them what they think, and listen. You both may learn something about “a job you enjoy doing.”

School Happenings
Stockings for Soldiers - School-wide for Soldiers in time for the Holidays
Butler Elementary has a personal connection with many local veteran and active military affiliations in our local community. Across the last two weeks, Butler School Community collected including items such as food, candy, mints, toothbrushes, and sanitizers and other personal care items that will be sent to military members serving overseas as part of our "Stockings for our Soldiers" collection. On Friday, December 10th, each classroom began assembling and decorating bags which were organized in advance by our Butler 6th Grade Ambassadors (who donated their recess time for this citizenship project). Thank you to our Butler Families and Staff who contributed many items (specific to each grade level) as we organized to support the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary with this small token of our support and appreciation.
CB South's School-Aged Child Development Class at Butler
The benefit of working in the Central Bucks South Cluster is Butler's connection as a "feeder school" to CB South - and the opportunity that provides for students at the elementary and high school levels. On Thursday, 12/9 - Butler hosted the Family Consumer Sciences class inviting high school students into our classrooms to work and learn with our volunteer teachers. The is will cover a four-week period before and after the Winter Break - and is a time honored tradition Butler loves to be able to provide! Welcome CB South!
