The Learning Coaches meet next week at Portland. Here is the draft agenda.
At the Delta team meeting this week, we discussed FRL/Discipline data found on this spreadsheet. This information would make for great conversations with your leadership team. Call me if you want to discuss this information and brainstorm ideas how you could present it to your teachers.
At our Learning, Accountability, and Innovation meeting on Friday, we again discussed number of finalized Tower observations per school. Please make sure you are on target to hit your goal found on this spreadsheet.

You may have noticed additions made to Power BI this month! SPS Analytics rolled out Attendance (90/90 and ADA), Discipline, and Enrollment 2/1, but we’re not done! Keep an eye out for more reports and enhancements moving forward into the spring. You can keep up with our progress and new deployments by following us on Twitter @SPSAnalytics and by being on the lookout for new issues of our newsletter SPS Analytics Club.

Many of you will be attending the upcoming MAESP conference, with the DP banquet on Saturday. The formal conference starts Sunday and goes through Tuesday morning. Kudo to the many of you who are presenting - SPS is well represented. Chip Wagner called me a few days ago, and is planning to host our dinner on Sunday evening. More to come on that.
A quick reflection on retaining students. Our general practice is to not retain them. Having said that, on occasion there is need to do so, and we have a few practices in place. Retention discussions should be happening now, not at the end of the year. Please reach out to me if you are considering retaining a student and need to be reminded of the process.
I am learning out of town through Tuesday night, and will be reaching out to a number of you upon my return concerning site openings and the direction that will be taken to fill them.
Have a great week!
